Your Opinions Appreciated!
« on: August 13, 2011, 09:48:59 am »
Okay, so we're a day into the Australian Pugbot, and so far, everything has been going great! Some bugs here and there, and a couple of users having issues connecting, but these will be all worked out in due time. =)

In the meantime... A couple of things.

Match Length
Currently 20 minutes. A few users have mentioned 15 minutes would be better. Lemme know, and if the general consensus seems to agree, I'll change it.

Also, a mumble server.
Would you actually use it if one was set up for us?

Since hardly anyone uses ts3 (I don't have a shortcut in my dock) I reckon creating a channel in mumble would be a more effective option.

And as a positive side-effect it might encourage new people to come have a chat from time to time : )

I was gonna host the mumble server on pugbot.com so the address would be pugbot.com instead of some crazy ip

You'd have 250-300 ms ping, which only adds to the delay with teamspeak. A TS server should always be as close to your team/community as possible. Slackin could make you a subdomain like au.pugbot.com that would redirect to your teamspeak server.
